What is LiFePO4?
The lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, also called LFP battery, is a type of rechargeable battery which uses LiFePO4 as a cathode material (the negatively charged electrode by which electrons enter an electrical device). LiFePO4 batteries have somewhat lower energy density than the more common lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2) found in consumer electronics. Our batteries offer longer lifetimes, better power density (rate that energy can be drawn from the battery) and are inherently safer. Can you only mount or operate your lithium battery upright?
No, LiFePo4 batteries are a dry cell chemistry technology that holds no harmful liquids or chemicals (like acid), thus allowing the battery to mount/operate in any position that doesn’t conflict with the batteries terminals.

Can I use a lead acid battery charger for my Exodus lithium battery?
Exodus Stored Energy highly recommends using LiFePO4 battery chargers for all Exodus battery lines. Our LiFePO4 battery chargers ensure your battery receives a proper and healthy state of charge providing the full potential of your investment, also providing faster charge times. However, the Exodus Pro Series are “lead acid drop in replacements” and will work with your existing charging system.
